Since our beginnings as a small group of enthusiasts in southern Ontario in 1989, the only qualification for membership in what has grown to become Pastel Artists Canada (PAC) is an interest in the wonderful fine art medium of Dry Pastel.

PAC membership is the same for all; additional fees are paid for a link or gallery on the web site.

Members may aspire to qualify for two levels of earned signature status, PAC and Master PAC (see the link buttons on the left). 

The high point in our year's activities is our Annual Open Juried Exhibition, a dazzling display of the possibilities of pastel in the hands of skilled and imaginative artists. We have an annual unjuried Members' Show open to all paid-up members. The locations of these shows vary from year to year.

This web site and our quarterly Newsletter "Purely Pastel" (which is available to members in a high-quality paper edition or by email) provide member and art world news, educational information and opportunities.

As a member society of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) and a sister society to Pastel Artists of Eastern Canada (PSEC) we may participate in their activities as full members.

The fine print: we are a not-for-profit corporation under the name Pastel Artists.Ca (expressed as "Pastel Artists Canada"), and our members cooperate as volunteers to administer the organization.
